Infostate Limited

Key to the success of InfoState is the relationship we have with our clients. Our PLM solutions become an integral part of any company we work with so good communication is vital.

In October 2011, InfoState was selected to provide prime project and technical management for the deployment of the Thales core Product Lifecycle Management solution (PALMA) at Thales UK’s optronics facility in Glasgow. In addition, InfoState was contracted to translate and migrate data from the various legacy databases to the new system. PALMA is a Product Lifecycle Management system based upon PTC's Windchill application and tailored to reflect Thales best practice. The project aimed to deploy this system across multiple optronics related sites within Thales UK and a 500 plus user base. The new system went live at the end of July 2012, on schedule, across all Thales UK’s optronics sites. Paul Watson, Thales Defence Land Division Operations Director said, "We are delighted to have experienced such a smooth business transition to the new PALMA system and our partnership with InfoState was instrumental in making that happen." Kevin Mahood, PALMA Program Manager for Thales Defence Land Division said, "As part of the deployment effort, the InfoState consultancy team rapidly negotiated several steep learning curves across several aspects of the project including Thales UK’s optronics business processes, the legacy systems and the PALMA application itself. Their ability to achieve this, whilst allied to their existing experience of PLM implementations, meant that they were able to deliver a high quality of technical expertise to the project. Throughout the project, InfoState has provided a highly professional service and proved consistent in its determination to keep the project on track and within budget despite facing a number of significant challenges. In doing so, InfoState's performance has been the key driver in delivering a highly successful implementation of PALMA at Thales UK’s optronics business in Glasgow. Consequently, I'm pleased to announce that InfoState have been identified as an official Thales PALMA deployment partner." Brian Hassall, InfoState's Managing Director said "We are pleased to have helped Thales UK in their very successful adoption of PALMA. Working with Thales has been an enjoyable experience but, as with most PLM deployments, the project faced some stiff challenges along the way. The fact that we were able to overcome them whilst remaining on schedule and within budget is, undoubtedly, down to the skill and determination of the project team." Press Release - Thales Underwater Systems
Our PLM implementation program was facing severe challenges when we engaged Infostate to provide lead project management and solution architecture capability. Infostates’s service was excellent throughout and the guidance they provided was core to enabling us to achieve our go-live targets.
Simon Felton - Configuration Manager & PLM system owner, Thales Aerospace UK
Infostate’s first class support was critical to guiding Thales Underwater Systems through the formative years of their Teamcenter PLM Implementation. The understanding of both the delivery methodology and technical aspects of the software by Infostate’s consultant proved second to none.
David Butcher - Managing Director Woodcut Consultancy Ltd, formerly PLM Project Manager, Thales Underwater Systems
I first met Lee several years ago while running a team to integrate a new PLM solution to our CAD system. Lee joined our team as a Teamcenter consultant and from the moment he joined he brought a wealth of understanding and knowledge to the task that was invaluable. Using his intimate knowledge of the Teamcenter toolset from the viewpoint of a user, an administrator and also a developer, problems were quickly assessed and solutions developed. As both his ability and his positive attitude came to be recognised by the wider PLM team, Lee was always in demand from all areas of the team who quickly recognised what a great asset he was. I know that I and every other person involved on the project who worked with Lee wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
